hui zhang ("we") operates Paralango. We process only the data needed for guest trials, Sign in with Apple, subscriptions, image recognition, and word-card features.
Data we process
- Account data: only if you choose optional Sign in with Apple, we process the stable Apple user identifier. We do not request a name or email address. A Paralango account is not required to purchase, restore, or use Premium.
- Subscription data: product, transaction and original transaction identifiers, purchase environment, subscription status, and entitlement period provided by the App Store to verify purchases, restore access, prevent duplicate claims, and process refunds.
- Device and usage data: install identifier, sessions, trial or membership quota, request time, feature, result, and duration for service delivery, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.
- Photos: uploaded only after you take or select a photo, to generate scene labels and learning content.
Processing and providers
Subscription payments are processed by the Apple App Store; we do not receive your full payment-card details. Our service sends images to Alibaba Cloud Model Studio Qwen for recognition. DictionaryAPI may be used for word definitions. Our service does not persist uploaded source images and does not use data for advertising tracking.
Retention
Operational logs are normally retained for 30 days, AI request audits for 90 days, and inactive anonymous-device quota records are removed after 24 months. Deleting guest cloud data immediately removes the guest device record and its associated sessions, trial quota, integrity binding, request audits, and device-to-subscription link. To prevent repeat device-trial claims, we retain only an irreversible HMAC claim marker for up to 24 months; it contains no session, request content, image, or account data. Minimum transaction and membership-usage facts needed for financial, fraud-prevention, refund, usage continuity, and purchase-restoration obligations are retained separately from account identity and device association. Account deletion immediately revokes sessions and removes identifiable account data. Jobs required to complete Apple credential revocation remain until processed.
Your choices
You can purchase, restore, and use Premium without registration. Optional Sign in with Apple associates membership with a Paralango account. The Account tab lets guests delete their cloud data and signed-in users delete their account, and lets you manage or cancel a subscription through Apple. Deleting a Paralango account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. A separate action deletes on-device scenes, images, labels, learning notes, and favorites; deleting cloud data does not automatically delete this on-device learning content.
